Great ride. The first thing i noticed about viking kayaks is how incredibly well they handle in wind, not just a little wind but lots of wind. I went froma santa cruz raptor to that exact same kayak and whata diffrence. Congrats on a killer ride. I liked the kid pod over the tackle pod, it gave me more area to land large fish and leg room.

Yep, I got the kid pod, I can see me wanting the clear space more than using the tackle pod.

Looks very nice indeed. As we all know, one kayak doesn't do everything well. This boat with the low sides and narrow width looks like a paddlers dream to cover some water. The design does look like it would be superior at shedding the wind. You should have some grand times in front of you in this boat. Not that this should be a big deciding factor but the color is cool too. Congrats on a nice ride.

With the kid pod you can have better control of larger fish species. I wouldnt put too much in there though, it always goes forward and out of reach. If offshore, i bring a box and stuff it under my fish bag, freshwater i just lay boxes in back by my cooler.
