Hobie's website says there is some new release / announcement to be made tomorrow. Curious what the news will be?
Monday starts the Paddle Sports retailer event. The Friday release before the show, should generate some interest.
No insider info here, but watching the release with interests.

Clay34, I just saw this mentioned over on the D/FW Kayak Fishing website on FB.
Hmm? Since Hobie has already come out with a lower end offering, a reverse pedaling system, has the big boys in the PAs, then the Outback, Revolutions and more, I wonder what segment of the market they might be targeting now?
If you see something, post it for us. I'll do the same!

I realized that I said that this news is on the Hobie website, but that WAS WRONG. I actually saw this on their FaceBook page. We should know more tomorrow. They released a new transducer mount for the PAs at ICast earlier this year.
Personally the PA line has been out, with minor changes for years. My wish list would be an updated PA hull design.
I can dream, can't I.

I just edited the double post from yesterday to introduce the new 2019 Outback Mirage.
Check out the above video.

Just one more cast!

A whole different Outback and it looks dramatically improved.
It is longer and a bit wider so stability ought to be improved.
It uses a bow design similar to the Hobie Revolutions, so quieter.
Let's see, it has lower gunwales so less wind.
From there, nice to see that Hobie got with it and went ahead and changed that storage lid from a circle to rectangular. People were doing this on their own.
Then, several more things as I recall borrowed from the PA series, the rails and more.
Nice! It'll likely pick up some significant market share.
I wonder how much it'll eat into PA 12 sales?

Just as they updated the Outback line, I was really hoping for a PA update.
One of the things that I thought was sweet to incorporate into the new Outback, was the new transducer mount from the 2019 PA series. I thought that would only be available on the PA.
For me at least, it's always about $$$. So it will be interesting to see what these new features will cost vs the PA line of boats. For that matter what will a 2018 boat cost vs what the new 2019 options will cost.

Clay34, I think I saw the 2019 Outback priced at $2799 MSRP.
That seems reasonable compared to its chief competition in its class: the Native Propels, Titans, the PDL, Jackson pedalers, etc.
