Can someone recommend a shop to do this? I am tired of the antifreeze smell in my truck plus seeing the fog coming out of my AC vents... I prefer somewhere in Denton County...

Hi Mike, sorry i cant recomend a shop i live in dallas, but have been there. Got mine replaced several years ago. tHE CORE WAS 50.BUCKS LABOR 600. yep dash has to come apart. Dont know if you have researched it, but wow. ONE tip is when its done check out all controls [Heat /floor/dash/ defrost] and a/c controls. The guy who did mine had to go back into control & find vacuimn line not hooked up. GOOD LUCK

Mike, I've been using the Firestone shop in The Colony for my repairs. Reasonably priced and quick service. They are located on the 121 frontage road west of Paige. https://local.firestonecompleteautocare.com/texas/the-colony/tires/Good luck

Well I got it done plus other things I really needed to get done... I can not say enough about this guy... Ford Master Tech, been in the business over30 years... Got my heater core, new plugs, coil boots, coil packs, radiator flushed, rear axle seal replaced, transmission filter / fluid changed, front and rear differentials fluids sucked out and replaced, oil change and fuel system flushed... truck runs like new and fuel mileage went up too...
