I need some advise on a good spray-in or roll on liner for the deck on a center console. I've recently purchased a center console that has carpet on the front and rear deck. I'm planning on removing it and putting a liner in. It is plain fiberglass under the carpet, no gelcoat. Any advise would be appreciated! Thanks

Your options are limited. Line-X has a product formulated specifically for marine applications but the only place i've heard of that is able to apply it is in Sarasota, Fl. Safe Floor is the best. It's not cheap but quality isn't. Stay away from the roll on junk at Wal Mart.
I'm going to AwlGrip the floor in my SeaArk using their flattening agent to cut glare. They also make a non-skid additive for it. if you are going to roll on a paint type product, AwlGrip and Imron are the best. Awlgrip can be applied as a DIY if you follow the directions, do the proper prep, and use the right thinners and solvents.

I used linerextreme on both my truck bed and later a pontoon restoration. It is a two part spray on urethane. They have a a kit with the gun, reducer, and non-slip granuals on amazon. For my boat project I spayed it over epoxy coated plywood that was rough sanded and aluminum with an etching primer. No problems after a year on the boat and 3 on the truckbed. No fading at all so far.

Line-X , XS-650 ,pretty much guaranteed against UV damage. I have found it priced at 15.00 per square ft. But have only found one dealer in Austin .

give us a call . Line-X can't compare with our lifetime warranty and the cushion to our floorin. we now use a new epoxy with more cushion and ours is trowelled in to a 1/4 inch thick . same cost .

What works best for removing the carpet adhesive . The surfaces that have rotting carpet are aluminum . I am hoping that if I do the stripping and cleaning I can save some money having a pro install the Line-X .
