Just got back from visit to the Vexus Boat factory in Flippin Arkansas. The new Vexus boats currently are available in Aluminum. Fiberglass boats to be out soon. Many of these guys are the original people from Ranger before it was taken over by Bass Pro. These new boats are superior to any other aluminum boats I have ever been around. Their new boat building ability is way above average and the factory is "State of the Art". The consoles and all fiberglass components are built right in-house and the boats look like fiberglass hulls even though aluminum. There are 2 dealers in Texas one in Dallas and one in Houston. This will definitely be my next boat buy. All you guys wanting a fiberglass boat might want to wait a few months, because after visiting with them and touring the factory, I can assure you these will be the best built boats out there.

I looked on their site to see what thickness aluminum they used and did not find anything. Unless it's .125" or more, it's another good looking aluminum boat, no more, no less. You can make anything look good in a spray booth. Not saying they don't build a good boat, I just like to read more than professionally written advertising copy talking about how much care they take in manufacturing. I once had a surveyor colleague tell me you can hide a lot of flaws with paint and gelcoat, and after being in the marine industry for many years I believe it.
Not being a snob, I just want to know that if I run up on a stump or an oyster bed, I've got some beef under me.
Some photos of their construction process would really be the tell-tale, Do they use extruded aluminum for the high impact areas, keel, gunwale, how the ribs and the underdeck structure is put together, etc

Many of these concerns are better answered on their Facebook page instead of their website, I believe their hull is now the strongest on the market with their DenseHull technology. Email them to get any detail you want. Good fishing.

Just visited the website and they now have a 2080 boat for the 200HP category motors. This boat looks beautiful and you really cannot tell it is aluminum. It is so well designed and built, it looks as good as any fiberglass boat. Cannot wait until next year to also see their new fiberglass boats.

There are a lot of disappointed folks thinking they would advance the boat building technology with higher HP ratings than most.

The disappointment comes from the 18.5' boat being rated for 115 in stead of 150, the 19.5' being rated for 150 instead of 200, and the 20.5' boat being rated for 200 instead of 250.

The pics and videos that I have seen show me a very nicely built boat that has a lot of nice features on it some of which are not available on others and some of which are just slightly improved over some.

I would have no problem owning one in a couple years if they have had no problems with them and I am excited to see a "Lone Wolf" company coming out with a "World Class Bass Boat" in the fiberglass variety! woot flag

That it will. Slick advertising copy is not a suitable substitute for research.
