You better go look at both boats yourself and take a ride, some of these guys are going to bad mouth whatever they don't own. To mention chine walking is hilarious....and silly!

Any boat will chine if youre going fast enough. For what its worth, i have a bass cat and love it. With that said, Id make the switch to a Phoenix in a heartbeat. Awesome boats, lot of intricate details that are nice to have on the water.

I'm just not a fan of chine-walking, not personal They haven't built a boat in several years that will chine walk, I've had 6 of them and picked up my new one last week and none of them walked. You must be talking about the old TR series boats.

Triton is alive and well. The TRX boats don't walk. I don't know anything about the TRW boats.

I have no dog in this hunt but read that a couple days ago. If you read it in the Internet it must be true. Johnny spent too much money to move them in another facility, then shut them down. That wouldn't make much sense.

I have no dog in this hunt but read that a couple days ago. You just never know in this day in age. I really doubt that Johnny would buy Legend and shut them down only to move Triton up to that plant then shut them down? I can not see a business man like JM doing something that dumb, he wouldn't have spent the money to move them if he was going to shut them down anyway. I just think he will keep triton and continue to build them up to a good business. I have never been in a Triton but think they are a nice looking boat and other then a few years back when they had a few problems never heard much about the company. Which usually means they are a good business.

I would think their market strategy would be Nitro - Bottom Tier, Triton - Mid Tier, and Ranger - Top Tier but crazier things have and do happen in the world of conglomerate businesses.

I don't think Triton considers themselves a mid tier boat, they cost about the same as a Ranger if rigged apples to apples, take a look at the 2019 models, does not look like they are going away anytime soon. All of these boats are overpriced but then again maybe they are not, if they are making so much money off of them how do they keep going bankrupt.

They don't have the cash flow to survive the down turns. They spent everything trying to get bigger and one bad model can take them out.

triton will be around an the reason for that is folks want to buy them if legends could generate as many sold boat orders as triton they would still be building them. when you build less than 200 boats a year an half of them are team boats that is not sustainable in the big picture bass boat market.

I own a Phoenix, but wouldn't hesitate to get a TRX. Both great boats, with the best rides in the industry. The 919 and 19TRX are great boats that feel much bigger than 19'. Crawl around each and see what you prefer. Either way you're not going to be disappointed with either.
