As someone who has a Mother that is handicapped (3 back surgeries and a knee replacement), I get really upset when I see an able body person abuse the Handicap Parking and have been known to say something to the person ("Hey, do you know that is a Handicap spot and is provided to those with real Handicaps?"). If they come back with attitude, I will call the local PoPo and let them deal with them. Not need to get in a verbal altercation as the typical able bodied POS who would park there doesn't care anyway.

I would bet that this guy felt empowered to escalate the situation because he was packing. He should have been prepared to defend himself with a similar response. You get pushed - push back, he swings - swing back, he threatens a gun - shoot the POS. Be a man and stand up for yourself but don't shoot someone because you got pushed down. If you ain't man enough, don't start it.

IMHO, everyone in this situation has some culpability and should be punished to some degree. The shooter should see some time in jail but not life in prison, the lady should get a ticket and the burden of losing her baby daddy for parking there and starting the chain of events and the baby daddy ...(well, he already got punished for getting physical with the other).

BTW - being Obese and Lazy is not a Handicap!!!!
