They will still backlash, Im testament to that but I like them. Bought two from Tackle Addict. Only time I backlashed was trying to skip under docks. It wasnt bad but I still managed to do it which wasnt surprising! You can cast long distances pretty effortlessly and I wasnt thumbing it at all most of the time and no backlash. I tried all four settings just to see the differences, it was our first day using them Monday. It makes a cool sound casting.

LOL. I was practicing skipping today using the "4" setting on mine (Tackle Warehouse). Worked fine. Then after I set it on "2" I absentmindedly tried another skip. It will backlash braid if you try it that way!
