Skeeter Apex is 75k

Reality is (to me), the best boat being made is now a thing of the past, the V-20. Thankfully I got mine just over a year ago and from a dealer (Sartin Marine) who I know will stand behind it until I ride it into the ground. I'm not a new boat every couple of years guy so won't need a new boat for a long time and quite frankly there isn't one out there today I would want over this one anyway.

If I were in the market for a new boat I wouldn't hesitate to buy a 1 year old V-20 as long as it was from someone you know would take care of you long term.

Parts could be an issue down the line but I can't see that playing a major role. I had an Alpha 199 for 5.5 years and never needed a single part for it.

In my opinion they are the best looking boats on the lake. Of course looks arent everything, and when it comes to spending the money I don't want to just settle. It'll take me a while to research the right boat for me, and when I do finally make my decision it will be customized down to the very last pin stripe.

Good luck because most of the big guys seem to be going away from the complete custom thing of year's past. I think Skeeter even went to a somewhat limit color options last year. If you look you can find some V-20's out there just make sure you get them through a dealer that will stand behind you.

Skeeter still has an option where you can custom color the FX 20 and 21.

Theres are still some custom bass boat builders they're just not very well know, you have Norris Craft, there's one out of florida also who's name I can't remember, I guess basscat is still kinda custom too. We'll see what happens with Vexus... Most of the big brands have gone to cookie cutter mass production like they said with skeeter you only have a set # of color templates you can choose from now, quite a difference from skeeters roots and disappointing.

Sinkey, I started customizing a FX20 online, color, electronics, hyd. jackplate and before I could finish was up to $101,000. If I did have that kind of money no telling how long the wait would be. Custom ordering a bass boat in my mind is for lottery winners and even then it would take a few drinks.

Seeing how KD sells Skeeters I bet he knows a little bit about them.

Phoenix is a great boat and one of my favorites but here's the problem, there's only ONE dealer within 500 miles of me and that's Fun n Sun. Take a moment and count the Skeeter dealers. Dealers sale the boats not the factory. Phoenix is not in the same category.
