We've been tieing jigs that are 1/32oz and 1/64oz, some we used feathers others fur. Both work good.
Here are a few fish we've caught

Went out yesterday and caught a few perch and and a few ditch pickles.
Leo caught this redear that measured 10in.
Our grandaughter joined us
We ended up with over 40 perch and a few ditch pickles, but threw them back.

Nice thinking! I recently read some guys use a very small jig in summer for crappie and their reason was seeing what the crappie were eating. They found lot of very small fry in their tummy, talking like 1/4 long fry!

Small jigs, light tackle, tons of fun.
Nice ties.

I had to drop to a 1/32 just to get a bite while dock shooting this summer. Tiny jigs can really make a difference when the crappie are being picky.
