Attempted it last week and got just past the power lines before deciding it was a little too risky for my blood.

Google Earth is your friend. Don't even try to enter from the lake side. There are places on every creek and river that you can gain access into the system. Using a smaller Jon boat a mile or so into the creek system you will will find that the creek will have clearer water, lay-downs come into play from trees lining the banks and the water gets deeper away from the silted in basin.
Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success. I ran it once, years ago,... can't remember when, ...lake level has a lot to do with it... when I did it, I'm sure it must've been normal level,... it even then it was still low and stumpy on the way up past the north bridge,... I truly felt if I came off plane I would've bottomed out... then you have to know (at least back then) where to make the hard right turn into the creek with a sand bar across the front,... and then, once you cross over, you had to make a hard left turn to stay in the creek... fishing was good, Bass were in the predictable spots with laydowns and occasional eddys then, to get out, you have to get up on plane in the creek,... make a hard right turn into where you came in at, then, once out make a hard left into the general area of flats to hopefully get back down without hitting a stump... I will NEVER do it again...
Require a whole lot of luck...

More fish in the lake than the river, no need to make that trip. I did it twice, my first and last time. Didn't see any jet ski's up there though so it's got that going for it.

I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed. Conscience never acquits, it either accuses or excuses.

I hit something about 3 weeks ago right in the middle of the mouth running out with the level at 433.5. It wasn't too solid. Probably just a little log that floated over but it was right in the path people run in and out. It's a foot lower than that now. I've done pretty stupid stuff to catch a fish, but i'm not running up the river until it rains.
With that said I had a decent evening yesterday bobbing up and down in the wakes down in the lake.

Unless you have an aluminum rig with a jack-plate, and know how to drive it, simply don't go.

I watched a guy shear off his tilt and trim going under the powerlines.
You have good insurance right?
