They mustve shut off, spoke to a few and we were all struggling! Even the schoolers werent biting.

Only consistency was across the boomin the main bay by the bridge. I missed a couple and caught one with a T-Rig and weightless Senko. You cant let them hold it too long, they will spit it out pretty quick!

I'm thinking Fish2222 caught'em all. Only reasonable explanation.

I caught 6 at the bridge yesterday early, on the water just after dawn, waiting within sight for someone at the boat ramp.

One was well over 3 lbs. though likely a little less than 4. All the others were in the 1.5 to 2 lbs. range excepting one that looked like a little schooler.

I did see a few boil-ups but they were small groups and didn't last long.

All were caught from my kayak using a drop shot: #1 Rebarb hook and about a 12" leader down to the shot itself.

Summer doldrums, I think, for many other techniques, anything moving too fast for lazy bass to want to chase.

In a couple of cases, two or so of the bass, the roboworm soaked for several minutes, no bites, and I sort ripped the rod tip up to move the worm and I suppose it triggered a bite. They might have been looking at it but it took that to make them bite it.

Big times now just around the corner on most lakes when bass will have the urge to fatten up for winter.

Aggie....I wish.
It's been dead slow the minute the sun rises.
In the dark the bite has been okay I guess.
Haven't caught a fish over two pounds in a month.
Ugh!

Went out Saturday night and got skunked. Partner and myself each had a couple hits on frogs right at dusk, however none of the fish grabbed onto it enough to set the hook on any of them. Fished dock lights until about midnight, saw lots of gar and bluegill. Last light had about 6-7 bass on it. Tried to get them to bite using EVERYTHING, they wouldnt sniff nothin.

Got back on early Sunday morning. My buddy caught a 3.5-4# on the first cast on a black buzz bait on his first cast right before dawn. Not much of anything else for most of the morning. He got 1 more fish, probably 1.5-2lbs on a frog maybe around 830ish.

We then moved away from grass and lillypads, while moving to another spot we noticed small schools of largemouth surfacing.(forgot to say when we launched in the morning I broke the prop on my TM) Was hard to stay on them with a wobbly TM, but we did end up getting onto one group before it stopped and caught a 4#er. The groups of fish would come up for 10-25 seconds tops and then down and move on to another spot. Definitely cool to see and it was nice to get a couple fish after getting skunked the night before.

Believe it or not I have caught them with a weightless senko pretty good when they were schooling... I thought that was weird but it worked. Just cast it out and pop it like jerk bait and watch the line for movement between pops. That technique worked pretty good after I skipped it under docks as well.

Nope, nope, nope, nope. Dont listen to this guy, I have no idea who he is. This technique never works! Nothing to see here. These arent the baits youre looking for. Move along, move along.
