A few weeks back there was a topic about great deals on reels from a store/website called Reels Express. Just curious for those that ordered if you received shipment? I ordered a reel and noticed this morning the website is not valid. Looks like I was taken!

Looks like bronco71 is the lone wolf who said he has ordered from them before with no problem. Looks like it's definitely a scam. No way your getting a new Shimano reel at 48% off unless it's hot. Good luck to all.

That is why we paid with a credit card so we could charge it back.

I've ordered stuff for a "Too good to be true!" price from other places and actually gotten the merchandise before.

Sometimes I have not gotten it though.

The web site is no longer available and it sure seems like they were nothing but a huge scam to everyone. Like the old saying.... if its to good to be true then it probably is.

I also have won some and then lost some. I did use my CC,and already turned it back in.

A quote I always remember. "Sometimes you eat the Bear, Sometimes it eats you.
I'll wait until the last of the 7-14 shipping days, before I contact the CC.
Am I hopeful, No but. You never know.

This is my motto.

CC companies really should make the consumer pay when they buy into �too good to be true� scams.

Yeah it wasn't that much cheaper than some on eBay that was $114.00 a little while ago. They are up to $149.00 and everywhere else is $179.00 so it isn't that far fetched.

I have bought tons of fishing gear for up to and over one-half off so to arbitrarily tell everyone on here: �well if it�s too good to be true.....� is not completely fair. Some of you guys are trying to make yourselves look so smart by �armchair quarterbacking� someone else�s mistake AFTER the fact! Yes in today�s world we sometimes need to do a little homework and check up on a company we are unfamiliar with but as already said above: you have some protection from your credit card company. They are billions of dollars industries who�s profits come from being the middle man in our purchases and sometimes absorbing some risks and losses for fraud as part of the cost of these huge profits. Often times when you dispute the charge they haven�t even paid the fraudulent company yet anyway even though you see it charged to your account. This story is just another sad commentary on the world and a reminder to beware.

I have not received it. I did receive an email about my order being shipped 8 days ago, asking to allow 7-15 days. Considering the charge back option now as I too purchased it via CC for safety.

Having someone on the forum telling us that they have bought from them before and are legit does not help anyone,

Strange he ordered from them before when the site was created mid July as someone pointed out.
