The "legit" media is only the enemy of people who have something to hide. True, but "legit" is sadly absent for the most part.

the issue is that it went from thousands of voices to just a few. Every city had several news outlets and now there might be one guy that owns them all, so
that will be reflected in there coverage. Fox=CNN two wings on the same bird. There is 100x more access to news and news outlets now than ever in history. There are thousands of news gathering or aggregating websites. There are thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of people reporting news on blogs, social media, forums, etc. Mainstream media has been a disaster for decades. The internet, and more specifically, blogs and social media, has exposed that. There are plenty of good reporters left at the major newspaper and broadcast outlets, but overall the mainstream media is in a tailspin and cant get out of its own way.

The "legit" media is only the enemy of people who have something to hide. Or if the lame stream media is trying to deflect from the facts. We know how liberals hate facts.

Perfect example is some politician gets quoted out of context by some media outlet and it looks really bad, then someone posts a video of the entire statement on youtube and you get two totally different meanings to what was said.

BRZEZINSKI: Well, I think that the dangerous, you know, edges here are that he is trying to undermine the media and trying to make up his own facts. And it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think. And that, that is our job.

after 40 years of liberals teaching the kids what did we really expect the left wing news to be. the right still stand where we did 40 years ago. The left has just gone further left which made the hole between then wider
