Does anybody run hummingbird & Lowrance at the same time? Wondering about interference?

Ya people do. I could be wrong but I think as long as frequency is different there's no interference? I have a lowrance on my flatbottom but I ordered this helix so we will see.

Jaret when you ordered it did it show back ordered? Just placed an order and it was already back ordered. I guess it didn't take long for them to sell at that price.

Yep. On the bow of my boat, I have a Helix and a Lowrance 9. I use the Helix only for mapping though. Works fine.

I have another Lowrance on the console, and I never had any crosstalk interference problems between the Humminbird and the Lowrance when I was running both on sonar.

Yes, Humminbird Helix G2 7 on the bow, Lowrance Elite 5 at the console.
No interference.

Did this because I like how compatible Lowrance is with third party software (Reefmaster) for logging, charting, and generating maps of uncharted waters.

I prefer MK trolling motors, so wanted a Humminbird up front for that compatibility--also like the Bird's DI and SI.

Also gives me flexibility with map chips--sometimes Lakemaster is better/other times Navionics.

That's an awesome deal for the unit.

So will the unit above plug into my Ultrex and let me run Link? I thought I had to have G2 networking.

I have a question for any Hummingbird gurus out there......

Currently I run Helix Mega 10's, SI at console and DI at bow.

If I added this unit at the bow and networked to my console unit for SI and GPS would it work being it's not the Mega?

Thanks in advance!

I believe you might be correct.
I have a Fortrex, so wasn't going to have to cross that bridge for quite some time.

This is a gen 1 helix so I think it's similar to the 9,10,11 series. I think it'll share waypoints only with mega units. We share way points with 1197 and helix mega 12 thru Ethernet
