Any suggestions on a good lake with affordable lakefront property in this part of the country. I just looked at a lot on Leon that sold for 55,000 and wasn’t even a good lot, talk about overpriced .

You want what everyone wants, that's why my wife and I got us a place in an RV park on Fork. Not as pretty but a lot cheaper

Mercer preserve on Lake Comanche Tx. 285 acre gated community private lake. 2.5 acre lots go for 35-50k

I’ve had 3 DD fish out of there. My best 5 fish string was 36lbs

Kerry Kersh is a great Realitor that lives in the community as well.

Owning a lake lot is a great way to get rid of your addiction to fishing.

This isn't true in at all. We have an acre on Cypress Springs and are out there probably 35 weekends a year and I fish at least 1 day each and every one of those weekends. And that doesn't take into account the few weeks a year where we stay out there for a week. I will admit that we have a service that takes care of the yard though. smile

Yep yard work is the killer. I have an acre of St. Augustine.

That is true all you need do is look at all the boats hanging in boathouses that haven’t been wet for years
