Falcon Cara 7'4 Mike McClelland. Use it for flipping and for footballs in the Summer.

I'm going to compare everyone's answer to the answer they gave on the last 4 favorite pitching rod threads.

I like a 7-3 or 7-4 heavy. I use a Kistler Helium, 7’3” Hvy. Has enough tipmfor me to be super accurate, but has to have backbone.

You guys gotta remember not everyone on here has been on here a long time or they might not know how to do a search. Asking a question that has been asked before is not the end of the world. If it bothers you that much just skip the thread and find one you like better. No sense in dogpiling on someone over a fishing question asked on a fishing forum.

Yeah I’ve never been able to get the search function right. Also sometimes I have read other posts but not everyone answers the question. I never have understood people complaining about fishing questions. I could talk fishing every day and most times it’s the same stuff.

Power Tackle PG 144. Before that it was a Powell Max 704. I like Power Tackle rods but don't understand their numbering system on the rods. The 144 is a 7ft rod and the 104 is a 7ft 6inch rod.

Amen brother!! If it bothers you so much to see a question about fishing that heaven forbid someone else out of the 108,521 other members have posted then skip it or leave! Such a douche move to get on a post and make irrelevant comments and NOT answer the OP's question as well.

to the OP- they have a cool function called "ignore user" and you can do like I do and no longer see posts made by these non-contributing people!!! Best feature by far on this site!

7'3" heavy. Although, I think the line (20lb fluorocarbon) and the reel (7.5:1 or faster) is equally as important.

When flipping junk, the bite is usually a BAM! Or a line jump. So the rod only needs to be comfortable to use all day and strong. Maybe even cheap, since you'll break a few along the way.

It will depend somewhat on your height but I like 7’2”. Heavy rod. I went to the classifieds and found a high end rod that was used that still fit in my budget. It is amazing how much of a difference it makes when the bites are subtle. I went with Dobyns.
