Headed out to Ray Bob on Thursday morning. Was on the kayak yesterday and seen a few blowups on the surface with shad going everywhere.. i assume this was a small school of whites or hybrid? I would like to get on a few, as I am only versed in bank fishing. This being on the water thing is brand new to me. Any insight on how to snag a few whites or hybrids would be much appreciated. PS - i dont have any electronics on my kayak.

got skunked when i went on thursday. seen lots of whites hitting the top of the water and got a few bites, but just couldnt get one hooked up. used everything from crankbaits, swimbaits, rattletraps, plugs.. just couldnt quite seem to hit where and what i needed at the right time..
