I have a Pro-Line Circa 1996 replaced my cables, added Hyd. steering and discovered the new throttle cable has the gen 1 rnd blk stop too far back on the cable. Of course this was after I threw them away previous one was gen 1 as well, so I can't figure out why the new one didn't work. 2 connection points one on Top MERC PUSH is shorter bottom OMC is pull and longer. Can I use the shorter stop version or will it not extend out far enough...
It will work from idle to about half throttle then binds.
Freakin wished I learn NOT to throw stuff away until it's working.
