After fishing 14 out of 15 days I rested a couple of days.

Then refreshed I fished Friday with James and had a good day. Approx 80 total fish caught with 24 nice keepers.

Sunday Rick and I fished, 111 caught with about half legal.

Monday off.

Tuesday fished with James again, 81 caught with 24 over 11".

Wed. Off.

Tomorrow is my day to beat up on Some Guy again. de (Actually it's his turn to win.)

Well today didn't turn out the way it was supposed to. eek
Guy and I caught 131 with about half keepers. He said he caught the most but I'm pretty sure I beat him by one. roflmao
Whatever the final score it was a terrific day. Most fish on old submerged trees on big baits. Any color.

Caught 31 off one tree.

Hope tomorrow is as good.

What a day! Hurts to hear about those kind of numbers as I have to head out of town. They say family comes first, but....

Any one of those trips would equal my best ever... bow_down

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

One thing was for sure yesterday...color DID NOT make any difference. I had taken five packages of Mr. Crappie Slab Slangers, each package a different color. I fished each color until I lost that particular bait, and then tied another color on. Each color was "game on".

we found them pretty good yesterday. brush from 14-25. best bite was letting it hit the bottom and then slowly rising it.. like real slow but not stopping. rinse and repeat. it works for us. kept about ten of the largest ones for an upcoming fish fry. just fished the evening shift.

Today I fished with Dan and Chris (a paramedic from Memphis) Had a great day, caught and released 100. Fished one rocky ledge until 9:00 then hit three trees and one brushpile. Casting on the rocks produced about 40. Rest came vertical fishing trees and brushpile. 1/8 oz jig heads with small to medium sized plastics. Color didn't seem to matter much as long as you fished slow.

Tomorrow I'm fishing with Rick. Plan to fish some new stuff. Haven't spent much time just looking around lately.
