Tom P. invited me to join him on a guided trip with Wes of BendaRod fishing guide service. Using both live and artificial baits, we caught lots of fish including, big hybrids, sand bass, blue catfish, channel catfish and a crappie. It was hard to keep count but we estimated catching over 25 hybrids. I caught my personal best Lewisville hybrid that was 26 inches long and nice and fat, surpassing a 25 incher from a few years back. All fish CPR'd. There are several great guides to choose from on Lewisville. You might consider giving Wes a call at 214 282-7093.

I was doing a test ride around the lake on Tuesday - 7/24 and around 8:30am found schools of bass surfacing around Hidden Cove Marina. I'm new to this lake (spent the last few years exclusive on Cedar Creek Lake) and anxious to learn the good places to fish.
Just bought a used Mako 1901 and getting the Mercury Optimax 150 2-stroke tuned up. Then will add my Minn Kota Terrova with iPilot & Link to the bow and plan to purchase a Helix 10 Mega SI for the console. I already have a Helix 7 for the bow. Then hopefully I can find the fish! Anxious to learn about the lakes around the area.

Sounds like a great set up. Welcome to the forum. Lewisville has its ups and downs.

I'm in Frisco and there's a nice ramp close to me - Little Elm Park. $10/day or $75/year but a very nice ramp. The ramps into the water, nice pier with slips, good truck / trailer parking, and a wash off station after you pull out of the water. And nice restrooms. Plus I think it's only about a year old. Off El Dorado.

I launch from Stewart creek because I come from Allen. That is the closest to my house.
