Just looking for opinions of the Duckett Ghost line of rods. Hearing about some quality issues.

I had one for a while and it was decent, but I've heard about the quality issues as well. In my honest opinion there are several other better options for the $100 you are going to spend. Overall though, solid enough rod, I'd buy one on clearance from Academy, but probably not full price.

I only have 1 Ghost rod and its a MH cranking rod. Has worked well for me although I did break it about a foot down from the tip boat flipping a 3.5lber... my fault though short lined it and didn't let the fish touch carpet. My buddy repaired it and it works fine.

I have several of the earlier style Duckett's and they have worked out well. For around $100 they are good serviceable rods.

I use to have about 10 of them. I have 3 now. They are [censored] for me. I bought them at Academy and when returning them the guy said they have then returned all the time. I stopped buying them.

Have one, after 3 trips one of the eyes popped off. Several people have same issue. Same cost I would look at BPS carbonlite rods Dobyns fury or Castaway Taranis series.

I bought one a few years ago, loved it and bought another.... But I've had good luck with mine. Maybe the batches have differing quality levels

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!
