I am looking for an used 55 force 12/24 Volt trolling motor what is there out there? This boat only gets used a couple times a year so no need for spotlock and such. dont need to be pretty just work.

I have a real old trolling motor. the motor is good, it is a 12/24 volt no pivot with the pedal. You have to turn the handle to turn. it has a metal box that turns it on and off and a wheel you turn to adjust the speed. the off and on switch looks like the old truck high low light beam button(medal in the floorboard) The box is jacked. M6y question is can I wire it directly to the battery meaning when on it full throttle. Not sure of a workaround for this. appreciate any advice.
