I'm kind of confused by the post. Are you looking to fish a tournament with someone or just looking to fish with someone to gain experience?

Either is fine by me! I love fishing tournaments and getting the competitive feeling, but would also fish regularly. My overall goal is to just become a better fisherman.

You might be better off learning by just going fishing with someone. If you are willing to drive I can take you a few times but the nearest lake I fish that is close to you is Hubbard Creek

Dylan,

I will get you out on Lake Bridgeport a time or two if your parents are good with it. Your Dad is more than welcome as well. Can't promise you that we will catch anything but I will try to show you what I know.
