I have only been fly fishing for about two years and still learning color combinations especially what colors work best during certain times of the year. Black/Yellow seem to work best during the summer times. I also get good results with Brown. During the spring Red/Black,Chartreuse/Black,and Red/Yellow work good. Fall and winter Chartreuse/Black is my go to color. Lot's of different color combinations. Sometimes they work and other times they do not. That's what I love about fly fishing. The challenge! Again super Rio and a super catch! woot

I have had great luck in the summer with this red siliworm brown dubbing combo. I usually add lead wire and wrap it in dubbing before I tie on the siliworm.

Those look like some AWESOME baits! Have you ever used Brown or Black instead of Red? Also wondering how Chartreuse would work. I may just have to experiment. Love your baits Mitt78. Nicely done! woot

Thanks. I havent tied any in black or brown just yet. I need to make a run up to bass pro and see what they have. I want to tie some in chartreuse and maybe even glow in the dark.
