I tie an odd knot. An improved clinch not with 11 wraps around the line. IF you pull it tight, before you cinch it, it is more than 100% strong on my McCoys Mean Green line. Been tying it since 2000 and it works like a charm. A little big, but on moving baits, it really doesn't appear to matter. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Palomar for everything. Alberto for my leaders.

Haven't had a fish big enough to make me try ANYTHING different.

^ this......Also the knot mentioned above. Swindles favorite knot.

Most of the time I tie an improved clinch. Sometimes a Palomar but I don't like the way it lines up on a crank bait. For braid to mono a double uni. Just started tying a loop knot for top waters.

Never have much problem in the knot if it's tied properly. Got to keep a eye on the line to make sure it's not nicked. Re-tie if there is any issue especially in a tournament.

Palomar for hooks, jigs, spinnerbaits.
Loop knot for topwater plugs.
Alberto, line to leader connection.

found the problem I believe, my palomar knot was a little doubled up or laying on top of one another from or it didnt help on a dropshot where i forced the hook more up right. I havent tried the Don knot, Randy. I tie an alberto for line to leader.
