new boat. 4 new 4-wheelers, dune buggy, racecar, motorcycle, the rest I wasted on food and shelter

I don't consider any of my boats "splurges". Neither do I, truly, but my wife does. I do know that I would be willing to pay any price to keep a smile on this little face, and boats have been an easy way to do that.  I see a T-top and ski pylon in your future.

I don't consider any of my boats "splurges". Neither do I, truly, but my wife does. I do know that I would be willing to pay any price to keep a smile on this little face, and boats have been an easy way to do that. I see a T-top and ski pylon in your future. No t-top. That defeats the purpose of buying the low sided boat. Might put a removable Bimini top on, but I doubt it Already have the floating attachment for ski ropes that attaches to D-hooks on both sides of the transom. That boat will sling a tube around pretty good
Team wolfs I had to perform. It took a minute to get it all in my mouth and another five to swallow it all.

not sure if this would be classified as a luxury or just dumb probably both....in 1961 I had a wife and 6 month old baby,lived paycheck to paycheck in a furnished apartment in Houston and bought a Glastron ski boat with a 45 hp Mercury....
loved that boat for the year that I had it til somebody stole it....fortunately I had insurance that covered the amount of the loan but it took a year for me to save up enough money to buy a raggedy old used boat....

Tempurpedic Delux King size adjustable bed with massage. Best $8K you can spend on yourself. Makes sleeping in any other bed feel like a prison stint.  Its daytime and your wife is still sleeping? No opulence for me, but I blow way too much on sending my kids travelling so they can see how other people think and live. About to have the US covered. Next will be out of country trips since one is about to turn 18.

Dumb and crazy but it was a rush dropping $1k in a slot machine thinking I would hit it big last week on vacation. No such luck but because I had to leave two days early due to health issues of a family member and I had allotted that much to lose I did it in three hours. Every spin was tense and exciting.
