Good Evening everyone. Its been a little slow down here on Falcon Lake since my report last week. I guess the warmer temps are keeping people indoors, its been pretty warm down here the past few days. But it looks like a few bass clubs from the San Antonio area made it down this past weekend for their monthly tournament.

I had 3 trips this week and got to do a little fun fishing on my days off. Falcon is fishing amazing right now. We had a day where we hit 34lbs on our best 5 fish and a few days around the 30lb range and thats pretty good if you ask me.

The lake has dropped a little since last week we are 36.40 ft low and that has put the State Park ramp out of play, so if you're planning a trip down here be prepared to launch at the county ramp or off the point at the State Park. Oh 4x4 isn't a must, but I had to use mine for the first time today. Water temps are still sitting around 86 degrees, just cool enough to dip your cap in around 1:00pm to get a little relief from the heat.

For me the south end of the lake is fishing better than the north and I think thats the same for everyone else around here. I've been targeting ledges pretty hard this week in 10 to 15 ft of water. My go to bait has been a crankbait and Texas rigged Ol' Monster. Like I said last week if you have any brushpiles out don't pass them up. For you guys looking for numbers I'd tie on your favorite flipping bait and go hit hardwoods around the mid lake area in 5 ft, give or take, you also have a chance of smacking a good 1 up there.

Hope ya'll guys have a great week! Remember if you're out in the heat drink plenty of water. Here are a few pics from this week for your viewing pleasure.

State park ramp out of play already? Amazing how quickly the water level fluctuates on that Lake
