He's doing phenomenal. He did say in an interview that the more he wins, the harder it is to win because 100's of boats are following him, and people come in behind him to fish after he's done; so he can't come back to that area the next day and be productive. Thanks for sharing.

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!

This group of stats in particular are based on his MLF record. No worry about hoards of spectator boats in those events. Also very little to zero information as they don't really know exactly what/where they're fishing until they take them to the ramp- which shoots down the haters talk of him always getting the best local info to win. Just points out that he is indeed just that much more talented at finding and catching fish than the rest. flehan

Pretty good for a Yank. bolt

Blindshot,

Fishing is not an escape from life, but often a deeper immersion into it.

Ive always thought it is odd that there never seems to be any other boats on the lakes they fish other than a few pleasure boaters. It seems like they get the lake closed down for them. I wouldnt think there is anywhere they could go anymore that someone isnt gonna recognize them and try to follow them around.

Got to visit with him the final day of the last classic in Oklahoma. We talked about all of the spectator boats that follow him and he made the comment that he knows that he will only get one good pass on a bank so he has to make it count because of the boats following him run all over the top of what he's fishing. He said that many times he will have a sweet spot that he wants to come back and hit, but when he turns around a spectator boat is sitting on top of it. I really don't know how he does it. It's a huge disadvantage to him and the other guys that draw lots of spectator boats, even if they aren't purposely trying to get in the way.

All you need to know about him is watch his competitors reaction when he starts catching them. They are resigned that he's going to do well, and the only time they are surprised if if he's struggling.
