Fished with my friend Friday and Saturday morning. A guy canceled his Sat. morning trip at 10:00 the previous night, but since I didn't do any work for him, he wanted to pay me, but I said nope, didn't earn in. Didn't have any preaggranged pans for missing, so no pay. Fished Sat. afternoon and yeah, it was warm. I had a inuslin reaction, but the guy caugth 3 dinks on where I showed to him to throw. He has a lot better idea of the lake, though know, and he aoppreciated that. Sunday AM got there at 5:45, with a splash off of 5:40, so I was 5 minutes late, didn't know how long it would take me to walk with my tackle to the launch point. We caught 4 dinks of 1/2 a day fishing, but he knows the lake a LOT better than he did to begin with. First thing I did was step on his Crig rod, so now I am int eh process of buying him a new one. WHOOOBOY, YEHA and all the other stuff. LOLt least he found out a lot more about the lake.

Starting Monday morning, I showed up 40 minutes to the lake because I got lost. Talked to the guy I waas supposed to fish with adn he said eh would meet me at the ramp. Another truck with a boat showed up at teh ramp teh same time I did. He professed to know the guy taking the trip, but he was not teh guy. Duuno, seemed weird, but I waited and called until 8:52 and left after that. I texted 3 times and called 3 times and still no answer from anything. Dunno just dunno. Fished from the dock for a little while and just got more into trouble with other lines than it was worth, so left, still skratching my head of that one, unless it was my lateness and he couldn't handle that. OH WELL, such is life. The lake has changed a lot from when I fished it, almost no trees in it, a few old trees and bushes I knew where to point out, but the fish still live in their normal places. GO figure, fish not changing their behavior very much. LOL.

Hope everyone did well this weekend and have big plans for the upcoming cool season. We fished shallow and deep and I gave them like 3 or 4 different deep places to fish. All fish were caught shallow on Whopper Ploppers, T-rigs, SBs and CBs. Biggest was a little over 3 lbs.

Respectfully,

Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Well Mr. Rains; like you said, "so is life". Sorry, all that seemed to pile up on you. You need to just stop fighting those bad days like I did. Just crawl in with me and we will go to Mexico were we can catch 100 each day. I have gotten spoiled with the Mexico trips; but really enjoy doing the Mapping work from the comfort of my computer. Giving fishermen the 20 best spots I can find on a lake gives them a big leg up on learning the lake and how to fish it. Like you said, they know more than when they started.

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.

When I guided on the lake, I made the guarantee that you or I would catch a bass. If neither one of us caught one, it was your $250 back to you, $250 out of my pocket and another free trip, so I worked my BUTT off to make sure we would catch a fish. Never had to make good on it in 106 trips, didn't say what size, just a bass. Cocky? Yeah, but I was a lot younger then, too. I wish I caught have showed them more of the lake on the 2 half day trips, but dime is you enemy on those trips, trying to show the whole lake. Thanks for your comments guys. Just wanted to report the facts and let everyone know what happened. No guarantees on these trips, neither. I thought 9 years was enough time to dull my senses. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck. Thanks again for your building comments.

Definitely been great fishing the last 2 years. Caught a dozen fish between 8 and 10lbs and a couple close to 11lbs this summer so far.

Just because its fishing good doesnt mean its easy. It takes a ton of time on the water to figure that lake out. But once you do, that lake puts them out.

And I agree with Barrett, that lake is very crowded with bass fishermen, and has been for a couple years now.
