Hoping to get some pros & cons that I may not have thought of.........

Have a 2015 NiTRO Z8 that has (2 weeks ago) been re-powered with the new Merc 250 Pro XS 4stroke. My initial thought was, nothing wrong with the boat & value increased by about 8K-10K with the new unit... I should keep it since I'm in a good equity position (rare for boats, lol).

Alternately, I am in a good equity position and could upgrade to a completely new boat, which would also have the new Merc on it. Going back and forth on the best decision, any thoughts out there?

I'm not a pro or a con....but do what's best for you. I'm in the market for a new boat, trying to sell my 2012 Skeeter TZX170...should I sell it, should I trade it, should I keep it...decisions, decisions and more decisions..

a few things that I always remind myself of when i get the itch
1.) in the book the millionaire next door one of the keys to wealth is driving paid off cars for as long as you can
2.) when i bought my current boat i hated going into the heavy cover because i didn't want to tear up my boat
3.) a boat is a tool to catch fish. if there isn't a problem with your fishing platform I would pass or invest in upgrading equipment . You can buy a new graph or trolling motor each year on what you'll pay in boat payments.

One last thing i forgot to mention, the only reason why i get rid of my 98 Nitro was because it was an 18 footer and I speered wave on a big lake in rough water (that is a fishing platform issue for me)
