Hi All. Reaching out for a little help if anybody is willing to share? I will be staying near Golden ,CO next week. I have limited time to fish but willing to travel a little but have never fished in CO before. I am most interested in catching trout and bass. Finding a spot seems most challenging because there are a ton of creeks and lakes around the Denver area. Does anybody have any suggestions as to where to go? I would be grateful for any advice or helpful tips.

It was a different world when we were boys and girls....

If you have a fly rod, get you some small dry flies, head in to the rockies and find any small headwater stream. Up that way, any of the high country streams should be loaded with hungry trout. I think the south platte is close to there, but I tend to go to the high country streams as the brookies and cutthroats that tend to inhabit them are more fun and more eager to hit a dry fly.
