There's always the Denver Zoo or the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, but somehow I don't think that's what you had in mind. Santa Claus Land at the base of Pike's Peak also has deer roaming around right there. grin

Garden of the Gods was pretty, but no wildlife we saw, but we stopped at a popular area lots of folks out walking in the area.

some pretty good fly fishing up there, depends on what area of the state youre in as to where you can go, but good fishing isn't too far away
