So I got some gear given to me and I am not sure what a lot of it is. I primarily fish for bass, and none of what I use looks like this stuff. Makes me wonder is it just old, or is it for another species.

I have a bunch of #2 and #4 and have over 30 of the #3... makes me believe that whatever they used it for it worked well lol.. Also got these.. one looks like older spinner bait, the others look like older crank baits?

Finally, there is this thing... I want to use it just to see what happens lol.

Hello,

First post btw, Ive seen those 3 diving lures when I was a kid at Lake Meridith, back in early 70s, the yellow one one the right, caught a large mouth, a giant sandy, and a big walleye.Whats was so crazy is that my dad caught those fish, with 5 or 6 cast. We were fishing Turkey creek. So I know that one will catch them. Nice find, I would keep them for my grandkids. I think theyre called Hell Benders.

Posssum67 they are small hell benders have not been made for many years . Worth some money.
I have a couple of them and they are over 50 years old.

Welcome to the forum Possum67... I have been on here a long time but don't post much.
Yeah, it is hard to catch multiple species fast like that and without changing tactics... I wish I fished in the 70s... lol

I've seen that last one used for Walleye, put a minnow or Canadian nightcrawler on the
hook,

Lake Meredith came online when I was 13, as in most new lakes , the fishing was
outstanding.

Yeah Mo,

I remember the boat ramp at Alibates, we would take a right before that, and head down the dirt road, to Turkey creek. If you were in that area, do you remember the 2 islands? One appeared first, then as the water level went down another one appeared. Ahh.. Those were good days!

That last one looks like someone bought a kit from the back pages of "Fin and Feather" or from Netcraft and had a few beers. It is shiny, though, so it'll probably catch fish on the fall. The spinner, I first thought it was an H&H, but they used to come with the hook not attached. It looks very similar, though. I've caught a lot of smallmouths on those. The divers look like what they troll behind planers up north. Think Ontario, Superior, and Erie. Those kind of waters, for lake trout.

1st pic is called harness rigs. You put a minnow leech or nightcrawler on there and troll them usually for walleye. The 3rd pic is Storm HotnTott's also usually trolled. 4th pic is hellbenders also usually trolled. They used to troll them around here and catch some big flathead. They would catch anything, whites blacks stripers walleye etc. 5th pic is also a spinner rig I don't know the brand but I would say whoever you got these from probably did a lot of yankee fishing. FYI they still make the HotnTotts but like said if you don't want to use the hellbenders they seek some good money on the internet.

I thought H&H too. Caught a lot of bass in Caddo on them
