The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be holding our seventh monthly meeting of 2018 this Thursday night, July 12th starting at 7:00PM. We meet at Bass Pro Shops in Garland on the restaurant patio downstairs. We are taking memberships for 2018. Since we are past the point of the year when you can qualify for the Club Championship, membership cost will be cut 50% to $15.00. David will be there taking money as usual, along with Brad and Brian helping with all the paper work. Membership is for the calendar year and includes your entire immediate family. If you are a returning member whose information has not changed, just pay your membership and sign the Sign In Sheet and your work is done. If you are a NEW member, or if you have moved, gotten a new phone number etc. we will need you to fill out an information sheet for the Club roster. We'll get you taken care of if you need some help. Please make sure you find the Sign In Sheet. It's worth 10 AOY points!

Topics include results from last month on Bob Sandlin. Fishing was decent and it took a good sack to get paid. If you finished at or near the top, come prepared to tell us how your day went. We will talk about our tournament coming up this Saturday July 14th at Lake Texoma. We will be doing registration and weigh in out of the Highport Marina ramp starting at 4:30 and going to 5:30. Launch fee at Highport is 5 bucks. Tournament hours are 6:00 (first light) to 2:00PM. Once registered, you have to get your live well checked. Full tournament details can be found here in the Bass Clubs section. We will do Partner Finder and try and make sure everyone will have a partner for Texoma that wants to fish. We will talk about staying healthy in this heat, both you and your fish. Human care and fish care will be discussed. Remember, you will need a Texoma license if you intend to fish on the Oklahoma side. They cost $12.00 and are available on line and at your local tackle shop.

We will talk about the Top 6 tournament coming up in September. This is your last chance to earn points towards making the team, so if you are in the hunt, better be prepared at Texoma!

We will talk about the RHBC Championship that will take place at Lake O' The Pines on November 10-11. We will talk about the community events that will take place in the coming year. Fish For A Cure will be on SUNDAY October 28th! I will have flyers and sponsorship packets with me. This is a great opportunity for your company or employer to get involved in the fight against cancer. If you are interested in sponsorship or donations of goods or services, please let me know. We need lots of great stuff to raffle off.
