We have been fishing the jetty next to the USS Lexington for speckle trout.

In Rockport, the Market Street Pier/Breakwater has been open for many months, with lights at night. There has been some dredging of the Marina Channel, but I believe that's done. In the Marina, the seawall/breakwater is always a popular fishing spot, across from what was the Rockport Acquarium, pre-Harvey. Further north, the pier across from what was the Rockport Center for the Arts is open, and a popular early-morning trout fishery. Not sure whether the Fulton Fishing Pier is open. Both ends of the Copano Bay Pier were closed before Harvey, due to sections falling into the water. Funny, they were trying to decide whether to demo it, or let it crumble into the bay, and Harvey hit and didn't do hardly anything to the old, crumbling structure. Didn't even blow the light poles down! Goose Island State Park Fishing Pier is still closed as far as I know. The pier wasn't damaged too badly, but the roads to get there were hammered. There is a fishing pier in Conn Brown Harbor in Aransas Pass, also. For "bank" fishing, the channel just East of the Port Aransas Ferry docks in Port Aransas is good, as well as "Charlie's Pasture", west of the ferry docks. Lots of places to fish without a boat, without wading! Good luck!
