i bought a new Xi5 and was having trouble getting a clear reading on my fish finder.it would go crazy ,loose the structure and all vertical lines.it was useless until i talked to Dave Dave.he had the same problems with his and passed on the fix! i had the power cable from the Xi5 and my lowrance locator ran through the same 1" hole into the battery compartment.thats a no no! i rewired it so only the xi5 went through that hole to the trolling motor batteries and ran the fish finder power cable around the box and directly to the motor starting battery and guess what...problem solved !!! locator worked perfect!.i was ready to sell the xi5 but not now.i took it out this morning and caught 21 Crappie off 1 brush pile and never touched the xi5 after i hit the anchor/spot lock.it held me right on that brush pile for 2 hrs! Dave buddy i owe you one. thanks
