I got a pit boss 820lx at lowes Memorial Day for 399. I have only used it once for a butt and brisket and it performed well. I have a couple masterbuilt electric and two large stick cookers. I was surprised at the quality of how it smoked. Much better than electric and close to the offset without the hassle of keeping the fire managed. Good luck. JD

I looked at the 340 way to small gunna look around for a 820 to come on sale

I bought the Pit Boss Classic at Walmart for $396. It's performed outstanding so far.
