When changing out your plugs, do you stay with the NKG's that came factory or do you go with a different brand?

Id suggest doing a little research before you change the plugs. There are lots of topics on bbc about plugs. Iridium, indexing, and gapping are all things you need to know about. Different motors have different requirements, but I know they recommend certain iridium plugs on Mercs not ngk. Some may or may not need indexing.

Stick with factory. I have seen posts where people have changed to other brands and they couldn't hold up and the tips come off or maybe they are just a hair longer and beat the piston top. Some have caused blown motors also

You can buy NGK in Iridium, copper and several other materials. Ngk's are what come in Mercs from the factory.
