Anybody found the whites schooling? I’ll be there for a week starting Friday 7/6. Hope to find schooling action in the morning to help hook some less experienced anglers. Normally in June they are schooling heavy in the south end near the dam but they were not a few weeks ago. Just wondering if anyone has seen them.

for the last two weeks, I have been catching hybrids early at the old horse farm point. But the past two days, nothing happening at all!
Check on the northside of the point early, between the first two boathouses. They have not been surface schooling but a good number of fish moving through after shad.

Let us know if you find any? I live on lake and have not caught a sand bass since may. Lots of small catfish and goos where I find them.

Haven’t found any white bass but did find 2 different top water schools this morning. Both of them were undersized hybrids (13-17”). I’m starting to worry that the white bass population took a bigger hit than previously thought in the post-spawn fish kill here.

I found a giant school of decent hybrids busting the top Friday evening after the storms on the point at the mouth of Highsaw. It was a heck of a show. Problem is, 2 fish into the party, this happened while unhooking one. Just before the incident, a voice in my head said "You better get the pliers for this one." Just like if it was my wife telling me...I didn't listen.

Dude, that looks like it hurts. Learned long ago, rattle traps and crank baits are not worth it. I can't corral one with a single hook. He will flonce at least twice before I get that out. Hope ya got it out without much meat coming with it.
Good to know I ain't the only one not finding sandbass. Depressing.

Found a school of hybrids near HorseFarm this morning. Caught 5 keepers out of it. Biggest was 6.5 pounds. No whites still.

I'm thinking about heading out tomorrow evening and early Friday. Anyone had any luck in the past week?
