A couple of my buddies back in Louisiana keep telling me I need to try these Duce rods with the spiral guides on them. Does anyone use them for bass fishing, any pros or cons?

Seems like they might get hung up in the rod locker, These are some salt water Coonasses telling me to buy them...

Thats all my buddy has on his custom rods. Personally I cant tell a difference. I think the logic behind it is when line comes off the reel it naturally curves hence a longer cast with less friction on the guides as the line comes off the spool. Its definitely different and havent notice any hang ups in or out of the rod locker. He has a builder out of Houston and thats how he does all the rods he builds.

Spiral guides only do something on paper but not in real life. IMO
