I fish Lewisville on the weekends and with this wind have missed a couple of chances to fish. I am contemplating going out and night fishing during the week. Any recommendations on where to go or what techniques to use?
I was planning on dropping some green lights to get the bait to school then throwing my castnet for bait and free lining or Carolina rigging whatever I was able to catch. I can try on the points and humps or around the marina lights. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Green lights , dock lights that are on consistently & lights that are close to waters surface . Fish outside of the lights , the area where light meets dark is the ambush zone for bigger fish. Buck tails , rattle traps (silver/blue ), experiment with size , half ounce road runners and live bait will produce . If you mark fish deeper in water column , 35 feet down , throw buck tail , let fall to the count of 20-25 put rod tip toward surface and reel . Experiment with speed , strike may be subtle or a slam , tight lines

Thanks that helps. Either case I will be on the water more often which is what really counts...

Yes sir , the learning curve is mostly hands on . Establishing a pattern , can eliminate or establish techniques !
