What do y'all use? I know most crappie guys with boats have a graph on front & back, I would assume you don't leave them on the boat, so do you have a perfect bag you have found for this? I'm using a backpack now and it works pretty good. Was thinking about trying a range bag since it has dividers. would be room for my pistol and some tackle too (bags of Thump Chubbies, Slab Bandits and a few hand ties is all I carry, plus pliers and a jar of nibbles) Pics or links if you have them.

I carry mine in a water proof yellow bag from Bass Pro. The small size. You could carry several in the large size bag.

Pelican case. Foam inserts that you cut to fit.

Leave them on the boat. It's either on the lake or in the garage.

I was just in the market for the same thing. I wanted a bag that had some padding, but a pelican case or similar seemed like overkill. I wanted a messenger style bag that was sturdy but not too pricey. I ended up getting this bag, designed for cameras on clearance for $40 (normally ~$100).

Manfrotto MB MS-M-IGR Messenger

It is a really nice bag, but it doesn't quite fit my Helix 9 and 999 as nicely as I would like. I have to remove the cover on the helix, and it is still a snug fit. I may actually keep the bag for my camera gear and keep looking.

I had not thought of the range bag route. That may be a better solution!

Leave face cover on and use a Cabela's catch all gear bag that goes on sale for around 8 bucks. Only about $12 full price.

Your backpack is a great choice. As long as you have the protective cover over the face of the graphs.

I use wife's outdated window treatment sample carry case/bag. It has room for the voltmeter (not shown) and other stuff. Inside top has a zippered file pocket the length of bag that manuals/notes/maps, etc., can be stored. I imagine other sample product carrying bags would work. Ask neighbors in sales if they have old ones to discard.
