As a lot of you know Lake Fairfield was once an excellent bluegill lake. Then a few years back it experienced some massive fish kills. Now the bluegills are making a good come back. My brother and I went to test it out last Sunday. The bluegill are plentiful and getting big. Now that the power plant has been shut down I expect the next few years to be super good. Im predicting the tilapia to die off this winter making room for the bluegill, bass, and crappies to really take off. We fished with crickets for about two hours before breaking out the bow fishing rigs and trying our luck at shooting some tilapia. We found out that shooting fish with a bow and arrow is harder than it looks. LOL. We ended up catching well over 100 bluegills and brought home a few for dinner. Nice hogs and a super report. Glad to see a positive outlook for Fairfield. As always good job.
