Heading to Joe pool tomorrow to do some crappie fishing, but going to bass fish in the morning never been before. So if anyone could provide some tips on what they are biting or spots i would appreciate it.

If you get there early just at sunrise there has been a top water bite on rocky points close to the bank....most effective bait for me has been yellow magic popper...there has been some shad spawns...so keep a spinner bait or fluke handy...watch along shallow banks with birds lined up along the bank...caught them good all over the lake last week...shallow early for a couple of hours then deeper on structure of some sort....

With all the pleasure boat traffic that will be out, I would head for the stumps or creeks. I haven't been able to fish it much this year but what time I have gotten out there, it has been a really slow year for me so far.

Find the fellow that goes by Steez McQueen and follow him around. He is the local guru for big bass at JP grin

How did ya do? I've been clobbering them on top water for a month now. Too much fun.
