I found a really good deal on a Helix 7 g2n and purchased it. My intentions will be to use it on the dash along with my Helix 9 g2n. Plans are to use the 9 for SI and the 7 for gps/maps and DI. Will I be able to network the two together and use one transducer for SI and DI at the same time or install the sevens transducer?

Yes, the Helix 7 CHIRP G2N in all three versions is Ethernet capable and will share all functions except mapping with all four versions of the Helix 9 CHIRP G2N.

Exactly what models of each are you considering?????????????????????
At least one of them has to have the sonar technology you want to share.

Helix 12 CHIRP MEGA SI+ GPS G3N and G4N, 1198c SI, SOLIX 10 SI G3,
Helix 8 MEGA SI+ GPS G4N, SOLIX 12 SI and G3, MEGA 360, MEGA LIVE TL, RC-1

OK, you don't have to install the Helix 7 CHIRP DI GPS G2N transducer. Just turn SONAR OFF and get sonar data from the Helix 9 CHIRP MEGA SI GPS G2N via Ethernet.
That is setup in the Network menu.
It takes two AS EC QDE Ethernet adapters and an Ethernet cable.
