I mostly buy stuff that gets taxed anyway. What it will hurt is out-of-State purchases of high end fishing electronics. They'll need to add State and local tax to the price.

It may end up being cheaper to drive to a store to buy something.

Wal-Mart offers free two day delivery on any purchase over $35. I have been taking advantage of that the last month

Yeah but we all know that no one here really shops at Wal Mart and all.... roflmao

I just go there to look at the Walmart people.

Well, this will suck for me. I sell my LiftSaver all over the country and will now have to collect the sales tax for the other states and then pay the taxes to each State that is owed. Keeping up with all the various tax rates and paying each state will be a major PITA so I might have to raise my prices to compensate for the extra burden this will put on me. I wonder how many other businesses will have to do the same and if so, now it reaches potentially into everyone's pocket.

Get QuickBooks

Get a state/local tax accountant. Not as if there is one sales tax rate across a state, can be different from county to county and by municipality. And the tax may or may not apply, depending on the product/service and to whom you sell it. And the rates change....frequently. Oh, and states love to audit companies for tax compliance....that is about to become a major growth industry.

I still say that it will end up where a business owner will pay the state itself the taxes and that particular state will be the ones sending the money to municipaltities etc.

THIS^^ As always, the small businessman and the consumer have to pay the price. You'll have to raise prices or take the loss yourself. Sucks.
