Give them a call tomorrow or really just run it by the old guy will know what it is and I'd bet he has one on the spot..

That looks like a run/start cappy to me as well. Should be under $30. Hope you marked the wires or are good with a volt meter. Your start side is going to require a lot more energy (amp draw) then your run side.

Hope you get it up and running soon. Looks like 103 on Saturday.

Good luck Drodge. I got a free one yesterday because it was still under warranty.

Thats about the only time that has worked out in my favor.

the MF rating is all that matters
that is a dual start cap
I believe the 20/5 means 20 mf for compressor and 5 mf for fan
size and shape of the cap don't matter except to fit in he same spot.
many places won't sell it unless you are licensed. grainger is usually picky

Take it to Locke Supply in Bedford on the corner of Harwood and Brown Trail. They can match it and pricing is comparable to Amazon and should be in stock.

Good news guys! I know yall were worried about me. We have now cooled down from 86 to 83. Slowly but surely. Grainger couldnt get it until tomorrow so I stopped by Locke and they had one that would work. The one I had was 30-3 but they said a 30-5 would work. Thanks for yalls help. Most of yall are good people.

Last time I replaced the capacitor in our AC unit I bought 2.

Yes, I remember where I stored the "spare".
