You tell em .... that Black Max 5 bearing reel will cast that fluke a mile and still be doing it 3 years from now with NO TUNEUP.

G. Loomis NRX 873C CRR w/ a Shimano Chronarch MGL. It's a fantastic combo, and it should be for the price. grin

When I have a Loomis NRX 7'5" MH with my Steez 8:1 in my hand, I have great joy. Especially spooled with fresh 15 or 20 lb Invis-X..... It's borderline orgasmic. banana

G.Loomis JWR 802C with an old Chronarch MG 50. Ain't the most expensive, most powerful or anything else, it's just light, crisp and a peach to fish with. Close 2nd is an NRX JWR 854C with a L-hand Revo Premier.

Of all my NRX rods the 893 with Met MGL is hands down my favorite combo.

Thats really hard to decide on just one. When they are on a c-rig bite I cant say enough good things about the Dobyns Champion Series DC 804C Carolina Riggin Special paired with a Shimano Curado 200k. I throw a C-rig a lot so I have this rod in my hands for a good portion of the day, during the summer months. The 8 length makes throwing long leaders a dream plus aids in taking up the slack for good hook sets. I Love this set up! When flippin jigs The Dobyns DX 745C F/H paired with the Shimano Curado 200k 8.5:1 is a dream to fish with. I also like to throw football jigs on that combo. However, for a variety of presentations to include flutter spoons, just about any kind of jigs (except finesse jigs) and Carolina rigs, the Dobyns DX 784C paired with the Curado 200k 7.4:1 with 20 lb. InvisX. I apologize for not narrowing it down more than that but it is what it is! With all that said, if I absolutely had to have just one rod this time of year the DX 784C HP with the Curado k 7.4:1 would get the nod.
