Lowrider 7' 6" medium heavy. $189 I have always liked Lowriders durability. I think tricky is gonna get me one for my birthday. Do you think there is a better rod for this type money?

At $189 Id spend a little more and get a Cara. What are you using it for? Im a fan of the 7'2 MH Swimjig rod. Great all around rod.

Mainly pitching a T-rig around. I was swinging in about a 4lber and broke off about 6" of the last Cara I bought. Of course it probably had some deck abuse.

Yep I would say go with the Cara or save a little and go with the Bucoo. The Bucoo series is the best bang for your buck IMO. Especially for me since I can buy them from their shop here in OK for less than you'll find in stores

About a month ago, a buddy of mine stepped on one of my new rods before I ever made a cast with it. I told them what happened and they gave me a brand new one

I would reach to falcon. Not sure if swinging a fish will be covered. However, you can send in the broken rod or part of it to get a discounted replacement. I think it's $80. Each Falcon rod is warranted against defects in manufacturing and/or materials. In addition, we offer an "out of warranty replacement policy" where you can replace your damaged rod at a reduced cost. Please contact us at customerservice@falconrods.com with any questions. Please note, accidental damage like stepped-on guides and crushed blanks from car doors is not the result of a defect and will not be covered under warranty. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims at the time of the claim. They are usually pretty good about it. If you just send in the rod they typically will replace it.

I'd see if Falcon would replace it first. If not, the Cara Amistad is one of the best all-around pitching rods available.
